Understand the situation without replacing the people you work with.
You may already have a developer, agency, freelancer or internal team. They may know your website, systems and business very well.
Even so, it can be difficult as the business owner to judge which issues matter, whether a proposed solution addresses the real problem and what should happen first.
A Foundd scan gives you an independent view in plain English. Use it to understand the situation yourself and have a better conversation with the people already helping you.
Asking another specialist to look does not mean the existing relationship has failed.
Digital projects involve many different disciplines.
A developer may focus on technical stability. A designer may focus on the visual experience. A marketing agency may focus on campaigns and traffic. An SEO specialist may focus on search visibility.
Each perspective can be valid while still leaving gaps between them.
Foundd looks across the customer experience, visible technical signals and commercial journey.
The objective is not to identify someone to blame. It is to create a clearer shared picture.
Situations where an independent view can help
-
01
You are being advised to rebuild the website
A rebuild may be the right decision, but it should follow a clear understanding of what the existing website cannot do.
A scan helps distinguish between structural problems and issues that may be solved without starting again.
-
02
Your provider says everything is working
Technically working is not always the same as working well for customers.
A form may submit while remaining difficult to use. A page may load while taking too long on mobile. A campaign may deliver clicks while generating few meaningful actions.
-
03
Different suppliers give different answers
One party recommends more traffic. Another recommends a redesign. Someone else says the main problem is tracking or content.
Foundd helps separate observations, assumptions and priorities.
-
04
You do not understand the proposal you received
Technical proposals can be difficult to judge when they describe tools and tasks rather than outcomes.
An independent report gives you clearer questions to ask before approving the work.
-
05
Results have declined, but no one can explain why
The cause may sit across content, usability, search visibility, tracking, campaigns or technical changes.
A structured review helps identify where the evidence points.
-
06
You want reassurance before making a larger investment
Before committing to a redesign, campaign expansion, platform migration or custom development project, it can be useful to establish a baseline.
A practical brief, not an argument between specialists.
Your Foundd report explains:
- What was observed
- Why it may affect customers or results
- How important it appears to be
- What already works
- What can be improved directly
- What requires further investigation
- What can probably wait
- How you may fix straightforward points yourself
- How much time a typical action may require
- The fixed Foundd price where an individual point can be scoped responsibly
The report is written so that a business owner can understand it and a specialist can act on it.
Turn the report into a better conversation.
-
01
Share the complete report
Avoid sending only the individual finding that concerns you most.
The priorities and context help explain how the points relate to one another.
-
02
Ask whether they agree with the observation
Your provider may have additional information that was not publicly visible during the scan.
That context can confirm, refine or occasionally change the recommendation.
-
03
Discuss the intended outcome
Do not ask only, "Can you fix this?"
Ask what should improve for the customer or business once the work is complete.
-
04
Request scope and dependencies
A simple-looking issue may depend on another system, plugin, account or supplier.
Understanding this early prevents surprises.
-
05
Agree how the result will be checked
Decide what counts as complete and how the improvement will be verified.
Independent does not mean unnecessarily confrontational.
Foundd will not:
- Assume your current provider is responsible for every issue
- Contact your provider without your permission
- Turn minor findings into major projects
- Recommend a rebuild simply because the website is older
- Present an externally visible symptom as proof of a hidden technical cause
- Claim to have inspected systems we have not accessed
- Require you to transfer the project to Foundd
- Hide useful details from the report to make paid work necessary
Where the public scan cannot establish the cause, we say so. A deeper review is proposed only when deeper access is genuinely required.
You decide how far Foundd becomes involved.

-
Will my current provider see the report?
Only if you choose to share it. The report is prepared for you and is not sent to third parties by Foundd.
-
Can my developer respond to the findings?
Yes. Their context may be valuable, particularly when the cause sits in a private system that the public scan could not inspect.
-
Can Foundd join a meeting with my provider?
Potentially, yes. A focused meeting involving preparation or specialist participation should be agreed as a separate engagement.
-
Will Foundd tell me whether a quotation is fair?
The report provides time guidance and fixed prices for individual Foundd action points where possible. For a larger external proposal, Foundd can help assess whether the scope addresses the identified problem, but should not claim that a price is unreasonable without reviewing the complete scope and constraints.
-
Does the scan replace a technical audit?
No. The free scan identifies visible issues and signals. A source-code, infrastructure, account or security review requires separate access and scope.
